Not too much to write about last night; we went to dinner (mediocre gnocchi with gorgonzola sauce) and then out for wine afterwards, took the last tram towards the city .. the tram inexplicably turned around to go in the opposite direction, and we didn't understand the German spoken to announce this fact. I still think the Swiss transportation system is the most efficient and punctual in the world, with electronic displays (on trains and at the stops) of the time it will take for each tram to get to a certain destination. We ended up crashing at Christine's friend's apartment.
I know how relativity influenced Cubism and Futurism, but I don't know if quantum mechanics has yet made its mark on the visual arts and literature. I can't think of any examples. What about string theory, and any of the other more recent physics?
