Tsvangirai is doing all that he can to negotiate with Mugabe. I think that these talks will be fruitless; so far, Mugabe has broken all of his promises to the opposition party. Even the UN's efforts have been unable to make any impression on Mugabe.
I believe that Zimbabwe's infrastructure will continue to crumble -- and Zimbabweans will continue to die from cholera -- unless America, France, and England take leading diplomatic roles in the process.

- My name is Kaya Shah, and I grew up in Knoxville, TN, a city nestled in a valley of the Smokey Mountains. I moved to Boston to study physics and planetary science at MIT. After graduating, I researched pediatric HIV and TB diagnostics with the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief at the Harvard School of Public Health.
